Amanda is a programme manager with expertise in delivering environmentally focussed multi-partner, multi-discipline, and multi-funder projects in the private, public, and third sector. Amanda studied Geography, History and Politics at Durham University before completing a Masters in Environmental Science at Cranfield University.
Amanda joined University of Exeter in 2018 and has led several business/research partnership and impact creation initiatives, first through her role in the natural capital focussed Tevi project (ERDF funded), followed by her leadership of the Food Systems and Environment portfolio in the Exeter Innovation team, and the NIHR funded Global Community Food and Health project with partners in Small Island Developing States. Currently Amanda manages the newly launched (ESRC funded) Net Positive Centre for Health and Climate Solutions, based out of the ECEHH.
Amanda has a particular interest in food systems and sustainable transitions, having led challenge networks (ERDF funded) and research projects (NIHR funded) in the area of sustainable community food. Amanda is passionate about building collaborative and high performing research teams which deliver research outputs to the communities needing them the most.
