Anna is a postdoctoral research fellow in energy, housing, and equity.
She works on the Horizon Europe project HouseInc – Inclusive, affordable and sustainable housing for marginalised communities.
Trained as an architect at the University of Udine, she completed her PhD at the University of Bath, supported by the McIntyre Scholarship in Healthy Housing, investigating how shelter design affects ventilation and indoor air quality.
During her PhD, Anna’s project on occupant behaviour and natural ventilation in Japanese temporary houses received the Sasakawa Research Grant, leading to a visiting role at Tokyo City University.
She developed SheltAir, a tool co-designed with humanitarian workers to assess indoor air quality and ventilation, now tested in Afghanistan and Gaza. Her work focuses on how the built environment affects health in displaced and vulnerable populations.
